Today’s service, Art café & Thurton holiday club

Dear All,
We hope you’re keeping well. Today’s face to face service is Communion at Rockland Church, 10am – all are welcome. The video service of Celtic Morning Prayer comes from the Rectory garden. The service booklet you can follow is attached here Celtic Morning Prayer 2.8.20, and the link to the video is here
This afternoon we’re going to the drive-in service at the Showground, so Happy Hour won’t be happening today (please see Rockland Churches Facebook page for link to service info).
New activity packs for children will appear in church porches this week! The first of our summer packs is the story of ‘An Enormous Picnic’. Please let us know if you require any packs to be sent to you directly. We’re also keeping this week’s Thurton Holiday Club in our prayers. The Club meets on Zoom from Monday Aug 3rd to Thursday 6th. Hannah Limbach, who is leading, writes ‘Thurton Holiday Club goes online for 2020! Join us for four days of Bible stories, games, puppets and craft ideas for you to enjoy at home. Suitable for primary school ages (4-11yrs). ‘Better Together’ is premiering on YouTube daily at 10am, 3rd-6th August and will be available to watch anytime afterwards. We have unlimited places this year, please spread the word! No registration required. Find us on YouTube and Facebook under ‘Thurton Church Holiday Club’. Email:’
Art Cafe is meeting this week on Wednesday at 10.30am, when we’ll look at three linocuts by Sybil Andrews, a Canadian artist with East Anglian roots. Please contact Nick if you’d like a Zoom invitation.
Nest Sunday’s service (Aug 9th) will be Communion at Surlingham, 10am. Please note that changes in government guidance mean that wearing masks at services will be mandatory from August 8th in the same way as shops.
With all good wishes for today and the week ahead,
Nick and Helen
