Walking the riverside

At present it is not possible to use either of the footpaths that run from the bottom of Hill House Road towards Surlingham because of flooding.

As you can see above, a further hazard is that a good deal of waterborne debris has washed up along the riverbank, including some used syringes, so please take care if you are in the vicinity and dog owners should make sure that dogs are kept on a tight lead. We are hoping that South Norfolk Council will clear this litter very soon.

The stretch of footpath from the bottom of Mill Hill across the Common and along as far as Hill House Road is still resonably dry and makes for an enjoyable stroll.
