Bramerton Carol Service

St Peter’s Church

Bramerton Carol Service will be held in the parish church of St Peter at 3.00pm on Sunday 16 December. As our Rector has retired and a successor has not yet been appointed  the Rev Janet House, a retired priest, has agreed to lead our service. Janet is well known to our regular congregation and is very popular. So we would be very pleased to see as many people as possible whether you are regular attenders or whether this will be your first visit to our church you will be just as welcome. We will be singing well known carols and listening to familiar bible readings telling the Christmas story as well as some less well known short poems. After the service there will be tea and mince pies courtesy of Dick and Sally Meadows. I look forward to seeing you!

The Service on Christmas Day will be one of Family Communion and as we do not have a vicar at the moment The Bishop of Thetford, The Right Reverend Alan Winton, has volunteered to officiate for us. It is a great privilege for a village as small as ours to have a Bishop taking our service – Bishops are very much in demand at this time of year! So please come and support him and your village church whilst the turkey is gently roasting.   Chris Hawes
